An interview at USA Today confirms that writer Matt Fraction will take over the writing of “Fantastic Four” and “FF” as part of the Marvel NOW! relaunch of titles.  Fraction will be joined by artist Mark Bagley on “Fantastic Four” and by artist Mike Allred on “FF.”

For “Fantastic Four,” Fraction tells USA Today, “it’s the first family, and we’re putting family first.”

Meanwhile, FF will feature Ant-Man at the head of Reed Richard’s Future Foundation, joined by She-Hulk, Medusa and a new character, Miss Thing, who wears a Thing-like suit of armor.

Check out the whole interview at USA Today.  It details the basic idea behind the run, which features Reed Richards taking the family across time and space in an intergalactic field trip, what goes wrong, and what happens next.

What do you think? Are you excited for the new Fantastic Four/FF direction? I’m particularly excited for the Allred-drawn book, though both look potentially interesting.
