Report: New Action Comics creative team, new Superman suit?

by Matthew Price Published: October 10, 2012

Newsarama reports that writer Andy Diggle and artist Tony Daniel will take over “Action Comics” starting with issue #18.

The black suit revealed by Newsarama in promotional art resembles the black suit Superman wore after returning from the dead in the 1990s, though this has a full cape and a belt that’s reminiscent of his current New 52 look.

Andy Diggle wrote the modern “Losers” series that was the basis of the live-action film.   He’s also written “Swamp Thing,” “Daredevil” and “Hellblazer.” Tony Daniel most recently wrote and drew “Detective Comics” in the New 52 relaunch.

New York Comic-Con is this weekend, so expect plenty more from Marvel and DC in the coming days.
