Austin Comic Con starts today

The Wizard World Austin Comic Con starts today at the Austin Convention Center, 500 East Cesar Chavez Street in Austin, Texas.

The convention runs through Sunday. Guests include the WWE’s CM Punk; the seven main stars of “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” and former “Buffy: The Vampire Slayer” star Eliza Dushku.   “Superman” fans will also have the chance to meet former “Lois and Clark” star Dean Cain.

“TNG” actors scheduled to appear include Patrick Stewart (Captain Jean-Luc Picard), Jonathan Frakes (Commander William T. Riker), LeVar Burton (Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge), Michael Dorn (Lieutenant Worf), Marina Sirtis (Counselor Deanna Troi), Brent Spiner (Lt. Commander Data) and Gates McFadden (Dr. Beverly Crusher).

Comic creators will also be on hand, including Neal Adams, Paul Jenkins, Bernie Wrightson, Humberto Ramos and more.    Oklahoma cartoonist Dustin Evans is on hand at the convention as well.
