Tarzan Centennial; Krypton found; Death of Superman anniversary and more on the Planet 46 Comics Show.

• TOPIC 1: Tarzan turns 100

Tarzan, created in 1912 by writer Edgar Rice Burroughs, celebrates his centennial in 2012. The character has appeared in books, comics, movies and television programs and is one of the world’s best-known fictional characters. Titan Books is celebrating the centennial with an official commemorative illustrated history of the character and phenomenon. “Tarzan: The Centennial Celebration” goes on sale Tuesday, Nov. 20.

Two movies are in the works featuring the Lord of the Jungle: Twilight star Kellan Lutz is set for a motion-capture version of “Tarzan,” while “Harry Potter” director David Yates is slated to helm a live-action version of Tarzan for Warner Bros.
