Remember, Diamond Comics, the primary distributor of comic books in the United States, has delayed shipments of comic books this week due to the Independence Day holiday.  So, look for new comics this week on Thursday.  That said, it’s a pretty good week of comics, with the launch of Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale’s “Captain America White,” a new issue of Geoff Johns’ “Action Comics” and the latest installment of Marvel’s “Secret Invasion.” Full list and commentary after the break.

ACTION COMICS #867

The second part of the “Brainiac” storyline by Johns and artist Gary Frank.

AGE OF BRONZE #27 (MR)

Eric Shanower’s retelling of the Trojan War only appears in issue format very occasionally, but it’s a top-notch comic book.  You’d think it’s just a matter of time before somebody offers him some movie money.

Spider-Man’s newest nemesis uncovers his secret identity.

ARCHIE & FRIENDS #121
