Oklahoma City-based rock band Hinder will perform on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” which airs at 12:06 a.m. Friday on ABC (KOCO-5).
Universal Republic Records released the hard-rocking quartet’s second full-length album, “Take It to the Limit” on Tuesday. Since signing with the label, Hinder’s 2005 debut album, “Extreme Behavior,” has racked up triple-platinum sales, remaining in Billboard’s Top 200 for more than 70 weeks.
Their first single, “Get Stoned,” reached No. 4 in the Mainstream Rock charts and their second single, “Lips of an Angel,” climbed to No. 1 at Mainstream Top 40 radio. Hinder is also the first rock band to reach 3 million in ringtone sales, making them the biggest-selling rock act in the history of the mobile format.
Members include singer Austin Winkler, guitarists Joe “Blower” Garvey and Mark King, bassist Mike Rodden and drummer Cody Hanson.
