Clearing out my e-mail inbox — one of many menial tasks I’m performing in preparation for the arrival of my first child sometime in the next 120 hours — I came across some links to stories of interest for OSU football fans. Some of this might be old news, so I apologize if that’s the case. But for those who missed it, there’s some interesting stuff included.

ESPN’s Todd McShay still sees OSU tight end Brandon Pettigrew as a first-round pick in the NFL Draft next month. Here’s his post-NFL Scouting Combine mock draft and analysis.

Sports Illustrated’s Bucky Brooks offers a breakdown of receivers and tight ends in the NFL Draft. Pettigrew is discussed on the second page.

The OSU-Georgia game ranked very high on this NBC Sports list of the most intriguing non-conference college football games of 2009. Considering the source, is anyone else as shocked as I am that Notre Dame only made the list once?!?!

The Press-Register in Mobile, Ala., had a sit-down with former Cowboy coach Curtis Luper, in which he discusses his recruiting plans for Auburn.

Former OSU player Alex Odiari didn’t last at SMU, either.
