Oklahoma State released its depth chart for the Georgia game and there are a couple of surprises. If you haven’t seen the depth chart, CLICK HERE to download the PDF file of the OSU/UGA game notes which include the depth chart.
–Alex Cate earned the backup quarterback job, which isn’t a huge surprise. But at the same time, if Brandon Weeden had won the No. 2 job, I wouldn’t have been surprised by that either. What Cate brings to the table is good mobility and the ability to make plays when the play breaks down.
–Justin Blackmon is slated to join Dez Bryant and DeMarcus Conner as a starter at receiver. Josh Cooper and Hubert Anyiam appear to be the backup receivers. It’s clear they expect Blackmon to be a playmaker for the next four years.
–Noah Franklin and Anthony Morgan are the starters at guard, at least as of Monday. When the actual game starts, who knows. One thing I’m certain of: The top five healthy offensive linemen will be on the field.
