Oklahoma State came into the season with tons of national hype and attention. After four games, national opinions of the Cowboys vary greatly. Some consider them a big disappointment, largely thanks to Houston’s double-digit loss to UTEP. While others consider OSU right behind Texas in terms of the top teams in the Big 12 conference.

Here are some links to the varied opinions:

The L.A. Times’ Chris Dufresne calls the Cowboys one of five overrated teams in the country in his column.

And Collegefootballnews.com’s Peter Fiutak thinks OSU is one of six disappointing teams this season, largely due to the Cowboys struggles offensively.

Meanwhile ESPN.com’s Tim Griffin has the Cowboys No. 2 in his Big 12 power poll.

It just goes to show you how varied opinions are about the Cowboys. So let the games begin!!
