Oklahoma State has secured its first football commitment for the Class of 2012.
Linebacker Dalton Santos of Van, Texas committed to the Cowboys after Thursday’s 38-35 win over Texas A&M, according to multiple internet reports. He was in Stillwater to watch OSU’s first Big 12 victory.
OSU was his lone offer but he is receiving interest from over 20 schools including Baylor, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Nebraska.
“I did commit to Oklahoma State,” Santos told GoPokes.com. “I am very comfortable with Oklahoma State right now and it would take something really special from another school to change that. It is the kind of town, kind of situation that I was looking for.”
Santos is a 6-foot-2, 228-pound junior who has 75 tackles including 13 tackles for loss, a sack and a forced fumble in five games this season.
