Read the entire Signing Day chat recap here.
Q: David, how excited are you to have signed with OSU?
Glidden: I’m really excited. I’ve been waiting for this day for almost a year now. It’s going to be great!
Q (from Missouri signee Kentrell Brothers): David, are you excited to go to osu? What are your expectations for yourself?
Glidden: haha yea man I think I’m just as excited for you! And for myself I really don’t have much besides wanting to play early and just make any impact I can.
Q: What other schools did you consider besides OSU
Glidden: Tulsa, Texas Tech, and Arizona were the main ones.
Q: How do you feel knowing you have a chance to make an impact as soon as you walk on campus?? nervous at all??
Glidden: It’s a great feeling, a feeling of confidence really. And there are some nerves, but more excitement than anything.
Q: glidden, what number are you going to wear?
Glidden: They have told me I will get 6, so i hope i do.
Q: david, how do you feel about the comparisons to wes welker. Go Pokes!
Glidden: It’s an honor. He’s an NFL Pro Bowler so I couldn’t ask for much more than that, and he’s from the city so I think it means that much more. It was a shocker when I first heard it, but it’s just a true honor really.
Q: Congratulations David. Are you excited about teaming up with fellow Mustang Bronco Josh Cooper?
Glidden: Yea I’m real pumped about that. Last time I was in Stillwater we both actually talked about how cool it would be if two Mustang guys were the two inside recievers, so I hope it happens and I’m happy to be learning from under him.
Q: how does it feel knowing youll be playing with brandon weeden and justin blackmon?
Glidden: That’s a good question. It’s overwhelming. Seeing all the awards they got and watching them dominate last year was so much fun to just be able to watch on tv and at the games, but now seeing it up close and being a part of it will be unbelievable. I just hope I can hold my own with them lol
Q: do you have a gut feeling on who the new o.c. will be?
Glidden: I honestly have no idea who it will be. They haven’t even given me any names really. I wish I could help everyone out who asks me that but I can’t.
Q: How big of an impact does your family have in all of this?
Glidden: A huge impact. They are a part of everything I do. I couldn’t thank them enough.
Q: Did the sooners every come knocking at all??
Glidden: Not really, I recieved a few letters and emails but never anything too much at all.
Q: what will be your major?
Glidden: I’m not sure yet. I have it narrowed down to a couple but nothing official yet. Something along the lines of computers or into sports media.
