Gilbert has already established himself as one of the most electrifying kick returners in the Big 12. Technically, he’s got two more seasons to become the best in OSU history, but it’s likely the speedster and super-athlete will declare for the NFL Draft after this season.

It will be interesting to see how the new kickoff rules affect the number of opportunities Gilbert even gets to return. He told me during the spring that he’s not opposed to bringing the ball out of the end zone — he’s done it plenty of times before. But chances are the coaches will often be content to take the ball at the 25.
