Oklahoma State award watch roundup–Shaun Lewis, Lane Taylor on Lombardi Watch List

College football award watch list season marches on this week, and Oklahoma State’s Lane Taylor and Shaun Lewis are officially in contention for the Rotary Lombardi Award given to the nation’s top lineman.

The Butkus Award watch list was also released Monday, but no Cowboys were on it.

Taylor, who is expected to anchor the OSU offensive line this season, is also on the watch list for the Outland Trophy given to the nation’s top interior lineman. The senior right guard leads all Cowboys with 36 career starts heading into the 2012 season.

Lewis, a junior, has amassed 119 tackles (including 17.5 for loss), five interceptions, four forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries in his career.
