Oklahoma State running back Joseph Randle set for ESPN “Car Wash”

The ESPN campus has become a popular spot for members of the Oklahoma State football program in recent years.

Coach Mike Gundy has twice gone through the “Car Wash”–a rapid series of interviews across multiple ESPN platorms–and been a guest in-studio analyst during the Cowboys’ bye week. Former quarterback Brandon Weeden went through the Car Wash while preparing for the NFL Draft.

Now running back Joseph Randle will get to experience life at the Worldwide Leader.

Randle will visit ESPN’s campus in Bristol, Conn. on July 27 for his own Car Wash circuit. That means he will appear on the network’s television shows (likely SportsCenter and College Football Live) and radio shows (I’m sure Doug Gottlieb’s show will be on this list) and do interviews with ESPN.com and ESPN the Magazine.

This is a pretty big stepping stone for Randle as far as national publicity goes. He is well-known in the Big 12, but not necessarily across college football–despite his 1,216 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns a season ago–because he was overshadowed by Weeden and Justin Blackmon last season. But he’s gaining some buzz heading into his junior season, being named to the preseason All-Big 12 team and to the watch lists for the Maxwell and Doak Walker Awards.
