It’ll be two years before any Oklahoma State players have the opportunity to qualify for and play in a postseason college football playoff. But how about a preseason NCAA Football ’13 tournament?

That’s happening next week in the Cowboys’ locker room, with eight players competing to earn the title of OSU’s best at the popular EA Sports video game. The contenders were voted on by teammates.

The first round matchups are quarterback J.W. Walsh vs. linebacker Lyndell Johnson, receiver David Glidden vs. linebacker Shaun Lewis, linebacker Demarcus Sherod vs. running back Joseph Randle and defensive tackle Davidell Collins vs. receiver Josh Stewart. Here’s a photo of the bracket, posted on Twitter by sports information director Gavin Lang.

The first round will take place Monday, with the semifinals and finals happening Wednesday.

They can’t all play as the Cowboys, right? So which team do you predict each guy will play as? And who do you think will come out as the ultimate winner?
