Brodrick Brown on missed INT: ‘Big ups to the receiver’

Brodrick Brown has established himself as a playmaker at cornerback, as he ranked second in the Big 12 with five interceptions a season ago.

But he knows he let one get away from him against Savannah State.

Brown jumped and got both hands on an Antonio Bostick pass in the first quarter, but the ball was jarred loose by SSU receiver Marcus Johnson before Brown could fully control it.

Brown didn’t have much of a chance to snag another, since he estimates he only played 13 or 14 snaps in the 84-0 blowout.

“Big ups to the receiver,” Brown said. “He made a tremendous play taking the ball away from me. I really thought I had one. I didn’t even know that he was still back there, but he came in and knocked the ball out.

“I’ve just got to put that behind me and just get ready for another opportunity that comes my way.”
