The Lunt Watch List
We’re counting down to the debut of Cowboys quarterback Wes Lunt.
The major college debut of Wes Lunt.
Seriously, as strong and solid and confident as Lunt looked in going 11-for-11 last week against Savannah State, that was simply too easy.
Might as well have been a 7-on-7 drill – without the on-7.
Tonight’s game at Arizona offers a much better glimpse into what the Cowboys have in Lunt.
So, what to expect?
OSU offensive coordinator expects more good stuff.
“I expect him to play well,” Monken says. “Unless he puts something on himself, I don’t see how he doesn’t play well. He’s given us every indication he’s only going to get better and play well. So unless he puts some unnecessary pressure on himself, it should be good.”
That’s how much Lunt has sold himself, not only to his teammates, but to coaches who are used to casting a critical eye. And in my 15 years of covering college football, Monken is easily the hardest guy on his own players that I’ve dealt with.
