Through four games, nine true freshman have played for Oklahoma State so far: Quarterback Wes Lunt, cornerbacks Kevin Peterson and Ashton Lampkin, receivers C.J. Curry, Brandon Sheperd, Blake Webb and Austin Hays, defensive end Trace Clark and running back/returner Caleb Muncrief.

That means the other 10 true freshman members of the Cowboys’ 2012 signing class are likely on track to redshirt, barring injuries or other unforeseen circumstances. Coaches can “yank off a redshirt” at any point during the season.

OSU signed 24 players in February. Three of those were junior college transfers: defensive tackle Calvin Barnett, inside receiver Blake Jackson and offensive lineman Chris Grisbhy. Receiver Jesse Vester ended up at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M after he did not qualify at OSU, and offensive lineman Greg Brantley the team during the preseason for personal reasons.

Here’s a breakdown of which true freshmen have played, and when.
