Uni tracker: And finally…the gray jerseys

Each week, we’ll look back at what uniform combination Oklahoma State wore and make a prediction for the next game. Nothing scientific about it. All in good fun.

I was oh-so-close on my Oklahoma State uniform prediction for the West Virginia game.

I thought the Cowboys would wear black helmets, gray jerseys and black pants. The went black-gray-gray.

I will say that the new gray jerseys, which have black numbers instead of orange and appear to be darker, are a big upgrade from last year’s version. It’s interesting to see/hear fans’ opinions on the gray in general. Some love it, some hate it. It’s definitely the most polarizing part of OSU’s uniform options.

Anyway, onto Texas Tech, the Cowboys’ final home game. I think OSU will go more traditional, with a lot of orange and a lot of black.

But before I get to my prediction, let’s look back at what OSU has worn the last two seasons.

2011 season
Louisiana-Lafayette: White helmet, gray jersey, white pants (1-0)
Arizona: White helmet, black jersey, black pants (1-0)
Tulsa: White helmet (black OSU decal), white jersey, black pants (1-0)
