Yes, the NFL Draft is still more than four months away. But the end of the NFL regular season — and, hence, the draft order being set for the non-playoff teams — brings updated mock drafts, rankings and projections from the national experts.

Plus, underclassmen must declare for the draft by Jan. 15. That means Oklahoma State’s Joseph Randle and Justin Gilbert have less than two weeks to make a crucial decision about their future.

Here are how some major outlets rank the the Cowboy draft prospects. What I most take away? Gilbert, at the moment, is not considered a legitimate one.

Joseph Randle

ESPN
No. 5 junior running back, according to Mel Kiper
No. 11 running back overall (middle round prospect)

CBS
No. 5 running back
No. 79 overall prospect (second or third round)

National Football Post
No. 4 running back (third round prospect)

Justin Gilbert

ESPN
Dropped out of Kiper’s top 5 junior cornerbacks (he was No. 4 in last edition from mid-December)
Not listed in overall cornerback rankings

CBS
Not listed in overall cornerback rankings
