OSU Hoops: Wildcats Impressed With Pokes
Oklahoma State is gearing up for its Big 12 basketball opener.
And it’s a major challenge – at No. 25 Kansas State.
Of course, that works both ways, and the Wildcats recognize the challenge as well, as both teams consider themselves contenders to the conference title.
And a win Saturday would be a huge boost in solidifying such status.
In Manhattan, the Wildcats have had some good things to say about the No. 22 Cowboys.
A sampling:
K-State coach Bruce Weber on OSU’s backcourt:
“To me it is amazing. Not only are they good offensively, but they are good defensively. I think last year if you watched them, it was a question mark for their team.
“They have some depth and versatility. (Marcus) Smart can hurt you in a lot of ways. (Phil) Forte can really shoot and (Markel) Brown gives them some athleticism.”
