Former Oklahoma State defensive end Nathan Peterson has joined the Cowboy staff as a defensive quality control coach, he posted on his Twitter account Thursday evening.

“Haven’t been this excited since I signed with #OkState,” Peterson tweeted. “I’ll be starting my career by joining OSU as a Defensive Quality Control coach.”

Peterson played at OSU from 2004-07 and ranks fourth in school history with 20.5 career sacks. After his playing career ended, he spent time in the Marines, even doing a tour in Afghanistan in 2011.
