Former Oklahoma State defensive end Cooper Bassett hinted — or hoped — on Twitter Tuesday that Tyus Bowser’s abrupt decommitment from the Cowboys would open up a last-minute scholarship for his younger brother, Dawson.

Big bro got his wish.

Dawson, a Tuttle product, got an offer from OSU coach Mike Gundy Wednesday and committed to the Cowboys, Tuttle coach Phil Koons said.

Dawson, OSU’s first in-state commitment, sports a 6-4, 215-pound frame and is fast an athletic. Koons said Dawson will play either linebacker or tight end.
