Tracking the moves of assistants who leave Oklahoma State

When news surfaced Tuesday morning that Oklahoma State cornerbacks coach Jason Jones had taken the same position at Mississippi, one question that came up how many assistants during the Mike Gundy era had left for other position coaching jobs and how many had left for promotions.

Here’s a breakdown of the assistants who voluntarily left OSU during the Gundy era and their next job:

New position: Associate head coach/passing game coordinator/wide receivers coach at Mississippi

Robert Gillespie
Position at OSU: Running backs coach

Jason Jones
Position at OSU: Cornerbacks coach
New position: Cornerbacks coach at Mississippi

Curtis Luper
Position at OSU: Running backs coach
New position: Running backs coach at Auburn

New position: Wide receivers coach at Auburn
