If you’ve read the NewsOK high school sports blog the last two years, then there is no introduction necessary.

If not, my name is Robert Przybylo a.k.a. “The Boneman,” and I am entering year No. 3 of covering high school sports for The Oklahoman.

We’re taking a totally different approach to covering the high school scene this year. One that I think will be a huge success for us as well as for all our readers.

With each writer taking designated zones, this is the place to go for Edmond news. I’ve been hounding the football coaches from the Edmond area: Bruce Gowen (Santa Fe), Justin Merideth (Memorial) and Jeremy Dombek (North) since last season ended in preparation for this season.

I’m familiar with each school (and a short drive away for all of them), and I’m looking forward to the first Edlam game just as much as any Edmond high school fan.

Today marks a new beginning, and it’s going to be a busy few hours. I’ll be hitting all three practice spots today, so keep checking back for all the latest news, opinion and practice reports.

If you prefer your thoughts to appear in The Oklahoman's Opinion section, we encourage you to submit a letter to the editor.
