Former Millwood standout Gil Roberts failed to qualify for the semifinals of the 400-meter run at the IAAF World Outdoor Championships in Berlin on Tuesday.

Roberts finished fifth in his heat, around 0.6 seconds behind third place Johann Wissman of Sweden. The top three in each heat qualified for the semifinals. Three Americans did qualify, all from different heats than Roberts.

  He had a great exxperience and he will defeintely be ready for next years college rankings in the 400m. He could easily if he is healthy by then and he will qualify for the 2012 Olympics, I see it.
