Douglass’ players are ready to go through their first scrimmage of the season tonight when they host Clinton.

They’ll get an up-close look at two of the best players in the state in Red Tornados running back Delans Griffin and quarterback Ryan Stringer.

Griffin recently committed to Texas Tech and is one of the fastest backs around.

“It’s not going to do anything but make us better,” Douglass LB Corey Mitchell said. “We’ll know exactly where we stand after facing them.”

Next week, Douglass will play in the All-City Preview on Thursday and Friday, starting off against the Capitol Hill/Northeast winner on Thursday night.
