Guthrie will go through its second an final pre-season scrimmage against Ada tonight at Jelsma Stadium. Guthrie coach Rafe Watkins is still trying to sort out who will be his starting quarterback among the three candidates in the competition. Watkins said he hopes to name a starter Monday, but added that doesn’t mean the other two won’t play during the early stages of the regular season, at the very least. Here’s what else Watkins wantsa to see out of the scrimmage.

1-Stay healthy: “We can’t afford to have anyone go down. We’re thin at an awfully lot of positions.”

2-Efficiency: “We need to be a little more efficient in what we do, especially on offense. You usually see improvement between that first and second scrimmage and we wil definitley need to make some improvement from our first scrimmage.”
