Here’s a look at the Player of the Week for the “Best of the Rest” Zone after week one. There were several good performances but Brown’s contributions were invaluble to his team’s win.

Player of the Week
Brayle Brown, Q, Shawnee: Brown accounted for all six of Shawnee’s touchdowns in their 38-24 win over Chickasha by throwing four and running for two more. The Wolves finished with 344 yards and Brown hit on 16 of 18 pass attempts.

Other contenders

Tanner Koons, QB, Tuttle: Tossed a pair of touchdowns in Tuttle’s lopsided win over Marlow.

Kentrell Brothers, WR/DE, Guthrie: Caught a touchdown pass and intercepted another in Guthrie’s 12-7 loss to McGuinness Friday night.

Jacob Smart, RB, Minco: Ran for 143 yards and four touchdowns on 30 carries in his team’s 27-14 victory over Hinton.
