Here are your players of the week from the West Metro quintet of Yukon, Mustang and the PC3:

Football

Jacinto Biorato, Mustang: The senior quarterback executed the Mustang offense about as well as you can. After misfiring on his first two passes, Biorato completed 15 of his final 19 for 234 yards and four scores. Mustang scored on six of the seven drives he quarterbacked in the 42-7 win over Putnam City. Mustang moved up a spot to No. 7 in this week’s rankings

Softball

Kylee Rounsaville, Mustang: One of the few teams around to be able to play because of the continuous rainfall the last week, and Mustang had to get out of the state to do it. Rounsaville’s hot bat has been a key part in the Lady Broncos’ 8-1 record the last two weeks and she helped them go 3-1 at a tournament in Blue Springs, Mo. Mustang suffered just its second loss of the season, snapping a 21-game win streak.

Volleyball

Ashley Dunn, Putnam City West: Dunn has carried the Lady Patriots through a rough season, which finally came with some relief last Thursday. PC West won its first match of the year, a five-game victory over Midwest City.

Cross Country: No one was nominated this week.
