As we begin district play this week, here’s a brief look at District 3A-1

District teams: Anadarko, Blanchard, Cache, Clinton, Elgin, Newcastle, Santa Fe South, Tuttle.

Favorites: Tuttle, Clinton, Blanchard

The Breakdown: Tuttle is 3-0 and coming off a 56-14 win over Hilldale. The Tigers have one of, if not the most potent offense in Class 3A with Tanner Koons, Bryce Ebert and Ethan Biddy. Their defense, also led by Biddy, hasn’t played up to what the coaches would like to see at times but also haven’t allowed a whole lot of points either.

Meanwhile Clinton has put their opening week stumbles behind them, winning their last two. Delans Griffin is one of the best offensive players in the state. Blanchard is also off to a good start and is ranked No. 9 in their class.

Prediction: 1-Tuttle; 2-Clinton;3-Blanchard
