Ed Memorial: Q&A with Mattie Burleson...

All Edmond teams are serious contenders for the 6A state volleyball championship.

Thought Santa Fe was the favorite, but the way Memorial has played, it’s a lot closer than I thought.

Here is a short Q&A with Memorial junior Mattie Burleson.

What was your “welcome to Varsity” sports moment?

Burleson: The schedule is completely different. You have to juggle school work, work and late practices. It’s not easy.

What is your hidden talent?

Burleson: I remember everything. No joke. Anything that has happened to me since I was 6, I remember. (Boneman’s note: I got a pretty good memory, too. It’s weird for me, sometimes, to deal with people that don’t.)

What are the five favorite things in your life right now?

Burleson: The Harry Potter books, the perfect sweatshirt (Boneman’s note: I like that. Feeling comfortable goes a long way), iPod, chocolate and my car.

Who is one person you would want to trade places with and why?

Burleson: Angelina Jolie, so I could be married to Brad Pitt
