Well, we didn’t have any dramatic, last-second thrillers this time around in the private school realm.

A solid week by the private bunch and a big week loomin’ for Bishop McGuinness and Casady.

Bishop McGuinness (4-2, 2-1)
This game was crucial in trying to adapt without Sam Crabtree. A good first step in a 31-6 win against Woodward.

Junior RB LaRone Richardson had a pair of touchdowns while Jameel Whitney and Jay Lester combined for 20 tackles.

QB Camden Tharp wasn’t asked to make the big play, but he didn’t make too many mistakes, either.

Up next: Oh boy, the big one with Douglass (5-1, 3-0) on Friday night. Wish I could be there, but I’ll be at softball.

Heritage Hall (3-3, 3-0)
Not too much to add from my SMQ on the 14-6 victory against Perry. It’ll only be a matter of time before the Sterling Shepard video is up and running on NewsOK.

I’m impressed by how “sure” you are whenever Shepard, Marc Robinson, Markus Wakefield and Barry Sanders Jr. have someone in their sights on defense. They won’t miss, or you’re totally shocked when they do.
