Players of the Week: Moore Zone


Andrew Long, Southmoore
The sophomore running back ran for 174 yards and two touchdowns, leading the SaberCats to a 28-12 victory over Edmond Santa Fe. Long’s performance was particularly vital to the team’s success beause Southmoore only passed for 16 yards in a downpour.

Cody Feuerborn, Westmoore
The running back piled up 166 yards and two touchdowns on just eight carries in the Jags’ victory over Putnam City West.

Jonathan Rhodes, Westmoore
Splitting carries with Feuerborn, Rhodes ran for 151 yards on 18 totes.

Brian Self, Westmoore
The senior noseguard and fullback averaged 10 yards a carry and scored Westmoore’s first three touchdowns against PC West.

Zach VanDyke, Westmoore
Recorded an interception that led to a touchdown against the Patriots.

Nyko Symonds, Southmoore
Recovered a teammates’ fumble to maintain possession on a key drive and had an interception on defense.

Austin Haywood, Southmoore
Returned a fumble 74 yards for a touchdown and scored a 16-yard touchdown on Southmoore’s only completed pass of the game.

Vova Razryvin, Moore
Quarterback scored the Lions’ only touchdown in a loss to Putnam City North.


Brianna Nunley, Moore
Was strong in the circle as Moore walloped Lawton Ike and Edmond Memorial twice by a combined score of 30-0 to win the regional crown and advance to state. Nunley has an ERA of 0.76 in 24 starts for the season.


Michelle Keppel, Westmoore
Pitched the Jaguars to a 3-1 victory over Norman North in a Class 6A regional tournament game. Then came back to beat the T-Wolves again 2-1, allowing just three hits.

Kendra Pierce, Westmoore
Had a double in the Jags’ regional win over North.

Shelby Wheeler, Westmoore
Had a double in the Jags’ regional win over North.


Madison Dobbs, Westmoore
Dobbs recorded a match-high 17 kills and also had 18 digs in the Jaguars’ loss to Lawton in the Class 6A regional tournament.

Rebecca Wood, Moore
Moore had a team-high three assists and 10 attack attempts in the Lions’ loss to Owasso.
