I had heard a lot about Lawton coming into last week’s game with Edmond North, but I hadn’t actually seen the Wolverines.

Must say that I was impressed with the speed and physicality of Randy Breeze’s boys. I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again: I would be shocked if this team doesn’t give Tulsa Union a run for its money.

Following the 34-16 win against North, I had a chance for a brief interview with one of the game’s stars, RB Charles Smith. Smith ran for more than 130 yards and had a couple of touchdowns to keep Lawton’s season alive.

And while the passing game was shut down last week, I expect Cody Miller to have a much better game this week. The question will be will the running game be able to go nuts again?
