Just like in football, this Casady team is surprising a lot of people. Shocked me good with the win against Capitol Hill on Friday. As Heritage Hall coach Mike Walker was telling me before the game, the Casady group is never short on effort and that can wear teams down.

But after a lackluster first half with only 14 points, I thought for sure that the Cyclones were be making the short trip home Tuesday night with a loss.

But give a lot of credit to Josh Bottomly’s kids, who pulled it out when it’s obvious neither team was playing at their absolute best.

Here’s a short little video with Casady hero Preston Sullivan, who made the game-winning free throws in a 36-34 victory at Heritage Hall.
