PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Norman Zone

 

Patrick Schaefer

Boys basketball, Norman North

Schaefer led the T-Wolves to a dominating victory over Norman in Friday’s Crosstown Clash with a game-high 15 points. Three days earlier, Scheafer scored a team-high 16 points as the T-Wolves upset Midwest City.

Matt Southard

Boys basketball, Norman North

Southard shared game-high scoring honors in the T-Wolves 55-28 victory over Norman.

 

Will Saxon

Boys basketball, Norman

Saxon scored a team-best seven points against Norman North. While not reaching double digits, Saxon’s seven points were one fourth of the team total.

 

Kamra King

Girls basketball, Norman

The star point guard led the Tigers to wins over Southmoore and Norman North as the Tigers improved to 7-1. King’s 13 points against North were tops among all scorers.

 

Jeannie Ramon

Girls basketball, Norman

Ramon scored a combined 14 points in two Norman wins and had seven rebounds and six steals in a sterling defensive effort against Norman North.

 

Hayley Scott

Girls basketball, Norman North

Scott led the T-Wolves with 10 points against No. 3 Norman and added seven against No. 1 Midwest City as Norman North played both teams close before losing by way of fourth-quarter rallies by the Bombers and Tigers.

 

Colton Cline

Wrestling, Norman North

The heavyweight paced North’s Crosstown Clash victory over Norman with a pin to seal the 42-31 triumph.

 

Mac Myers

Wrestling, Norman

The 215-pounder kept Norman’s upset hopes alive against Norman North with a pin of Nick Gaines.
