The Mid-Del Player of the week is Midwest City’s Trez Colbert. The Bombers might not be entering the postseason as one of the favorites in Class 6A but Dewayne Bradley’s team has been coming on strong down the stretch.

In a 20-point win over Edmond Memorial on Tuesday, Colbert scored 24 of Midwest City’s 67 points.

He followed that up with a 23-point performance in an overtime win over Southmoore on the road Friday night. The Bombers and Sabercats are likely to meet in the Class 6A Regionals next week.

Others:
Larry Cunningham, Carl Albert: Cunningham scored 30 of the Titans 55 points in a loss to Western Heights on Saturday. He finished the week averaging nearly 20 points in the Titans three games last week.

Richa Jackson, Midwest City: This award could go to Jackson most any week. Last week, the Duke signee scored 23 in a win over Edmond Memorial and then added 21 in a win at Southmoore.

Kylie Mayes, Carl Albert: Mayes scored 13 in a win over Guthrie, then added eight more in Saturday’s win over Piedmont.

Xavier McClish, Midwest City: McClish scored 11 in both Bombers games last week.

Chris Stevenson, Del City: Stevenson averaged nearly 12 points a game last week as the Eagles went 3-0 with wins over Westmoore, Moore and Norman.

Kaylon Williams, Midwest City: Williams averaged 16.5 points in a pair of steady performances last week for the No. 1 Bombers.
