Player of the week: Norman Zone

Kamra King, Norman

Girls basketball

In three wins last week, the junior point guard scored a combined 41 points. King, the Tigers’ leading scorer on the season, started the week with 19 points against Moore, but it was her game-high 13 in the Crosstown Clash that was her most significant outing. The fourth-ranked Tigers walloped the fifth-ranked T-Wolves 41-15 to run their winning streak in the series to 22 games.

Other standouts:

Dalton Mitchell, Norman North

Boys basketball

In a three-point loss to Southmoore, Mitchell led the T-Wolves with 14 points.

Patrick Schaefer, Norman North

Boys basketball

The T-Wolves season leading scorer put up a combined 39 points in three games last week, including 19 in a win over Westmoore.

Gabe Bonzie, Norman North

Boys basketball

Bonzie had a huge week, scoring a total of 32 points. His nine in a 46-36 victory over rival Norman was a team-high and his 15 against Westmoore was his season high.
