Douglass fans, rejoice. With Edmond Santa Fe suffering its third loss of the season, the 23-0 Trojans are up to No. 1 in the big-school power poll this week.

With all the small schools in the playoffs, there won’t be another power poll for them. It’s time to forget rankings and go prove something for real in 3A and below. That also means this will be the last poll for the big boys. Good luck in the postseason, everyone.

Boys basketball power polls

Big schools

1. Douglass, 4A (23-0): The Trojans haven’t faced any of the state’s other elite teams, but they have all the tools to compete with the best.

2. Edmond Santa Fe, 6A (19-3): Two road losses in last two weeks, but the Wolves are still among 6A’s favorites.

3. Putnam City West, 6A (13-10): Went 2-1 last week with one of its two stars, Tyler Neal, out with an ankle injury.
