Class 6A girls
Thursday, 8:30 p.m.
At Catoosa HS (I’ll be there)
Santa Fe vs. Putnam City North

Had a chance to visit with coach Paul Bass on Monday afternoon. Doing a big story on Josh Richardson for Thursday’s paper but had time to kill.

Could sense from talking to him and watching the demeanor of the girls, they don’t care that they ‘survived’ last weekend. All they care about is they’re playing Thursday.

- Bass is more and more impressed with freshman Cameerah Graves and her ability to not shy away from the moment. She hit two big 3s in the win against Yukon.

- Don’t worry about sophomore Courtney Walker. “She’s like the Energizer Bunny” Bass said. And even though she missed a couple of free throws down the stretch, she hit THE two that mattered most.

- Though the box isn’t really showing it in terms of production, Bass said the post players are doing a great job on the boards. Players like Sophia Mahmoodjanloo, Arielle Cooper, Tori Lanier and Raven Gonzaque are giving good minutes and producing on the glass.
