At this point last year, Casady’s Austin Katigan didn’t think it was going to be possible to play college football.

But in what has been a memorable senior season for all the Casady football players, Katigan has been accepted to Dartmouth and will play football.

Casady had a special ceremony for Katigan on Wednesday.

“This day has been crazy. I’m thrilled about this opportunity,” Katigan said. “I fell in love with the campus when I went there. They’re a rebuilding program, and I think I can be a part of something special there.”

Katigan said he will play either wide receiver or punter as Dartmouth has asked him to try out for both positions.

I had Katigan as the All-Private punter, so I’m feeling pretty good about that now. Real nice ceremony Wednesday. No official signing, but it was just the same.

Interesting to note that Dartmouth has an Oklahoma tie with assistant coach Jarrail Jackson. Jackson is in tight with today’s kids and Dartmouth is becoming more popular.

Congratulations to Katigan and here is a short video with him celebrating the honor.
