Making the rounds in the spring football world and was able to catch up with Duncan coach Jim Holloway. The Demons are making some major noise with talents like Dylan Dismuke and Dominique Petties.
However, when I asked about ‘Dylan,’ Holloway took a second and said, ‘which one?’ And he’s right as Dylan Laurens is a a lot more than just the ‘other Dylan’ on the team.
They’re all very impressive, but they’ve improved so much physically since last year. They’re only bigger and stronger.” – Holloway
Like most coaches at this point, he’s optimistic about his team’s chances at this point. Holloway said he’s been pleased with the progress.
The key for Duncan will be how some of the younger players develop. Duncan had an under-the-radar type year last year and had a chance to win the district title against El Reno in Week 10.
For those that don’t know, Dismuke, recruited as an OT, has offers from Arizona, Arkansas, Mississippi, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Texas Tech and Tulsa. Petties, being recruited as an athlete, has offers from Oklahoma, Missouri, Arizona, Texas Tech and Tulsa. Laurens has no offers yet, but you know that will change as more coaches get a look at him.
Good time to be a Duncan Demon fan right now.
