In talking with Steven Carpenter, one thing was quickly obvious about the Jenks wide receiver  —  he’s very well spoken. He’s a great quote because he not only will thoroughly discuss a topic, but his sizeable vocabulary allows him to give interesting and insightful answers. No clichés from this kid.

As for football, he’s still awaiting his first offer, but he may not have to wait for long. He’s going to go to several college football camps this summer. He’s likely to make enough of an impression somewhere that an offer will come. If not, it will put his name up on the board as a player to watch during the season.
