So we’ve come to the end of the road, huh? No better way to end it than with a look at Millwood’s Josh Turner. He caused quite a stir committing to Texas a few weeks ago. Now he’s just looking to get ready for the season.

I can’t imagine what these last couple of years have been like for Turner. As a sophomore, he was already being touted as a name to watch. I know full well that wasn’t what I was thinking my sophomore year.

At times, I’m sure it’s been tough on him, but he’s carried himself so well that he has earned the respect of a lot of people who probably had no idea who he was before this summer.

It will be interesting to see if Turner is able to flourish this year as he’s always been someone, to me, that you know will do well at the next level but not necessarily here. He put up good numbers last year but not the kind of numbers that make you say he’s a four-star recruit who deserves to go to Texas.

Millwood is always loaded with talent and losing to Kingfisher last year has got ‘em playing with a chip on their shoulder. If Turner wants to shut up a lot of naysayers, going out there and having a ridiculous season is going to be the best way to do so.
