Yes, it’s true, rivals like Midwest City and Carl Albert can come together, especially when that cause is beating the East.
I always enjoy that aspect of all-state games seeing rivals become friends and that’s what happened as Carl Albert’s Kylie Mayes and Midwest City’s Tarrington Oakes were crucial in a come-from-behind victory Wednesday at the all-state basketball game.
That won’t be the last time they’ll be teammates, either, as both have signed with Central Oklahoma.
