Casady: Connor Morrison steppin' up...

OK, I’m cheating here. I admit I haven’t been out to Casady yet. I plan on going to the Cyclones’ Blue-and-White scrimmage Friday.
However, I did speak briefly with coach Koby Scoville about how his team is shaping up. In a word: young.
No doubt about it. This team was full of not just seniors but quality seniors that were natural born leaders.
So who’s left now? At quarterback will be Mac Katigan. His older brother, Austin, was a solid player for Casady and is now at Dartmouth.
And Garrison Lee and Graham Bennett are going to be the two names you hear over and over…and over.
But what Scoville said was that Connor Morrison, a senior, has really emerged as a leader on the offensive line.
With him out there, it’s like having another coach. Seriously, he commands the respect from his teammates and understands what we’re trying to do.”
Understanding the system is going to be an issue right now for Casady with all the youth for the Cyclones.
Back more late Friday after the scrimmage.
