As was tweeted late last night, Heritage Hall junior running back Barry J. Sanders picked up two more offers Thursday as he can now add Ole Miss and Alabama to his list of suitors.

Sanders said earlier this summer his three favorites are Oklahoma State, Tennessee and Notre Dame but also realizes he’s early in the first quarter of what should be a four-quarter all-out assault on the recruiting trail.

After being held out of last week’s scrimmage because of a banged up knee, Sanders played Thursday night against Oklahoma Christian.

Coach Andy Bogert said Sanders started both ways, broke off a big run. However, he was most impressed with how well Sanders blocked. He said that was one of the best displays of blocking by Sanders he has seen. Sanders has told me in the past that is one thing he has really started to work on hard so looks like it’s paying off.

Sanders now has nine offers as the Rebels and Crimson Tide join OSU, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Tulsa, Texas Tech, Texas A&M and Arizona.
