Carl Albert (0-1) at Ardmore (1-0)
When: 7:30 p.m. Friday
Where: Ardmore HS

Carl Albert (L – Booker T. 12-10)
Why the Titans can win: Because they showed despite all the losses from last year’s team that they’re still going to be around. A two-point loss to the Hornets is no reason for concern. The defense played superb in the defeat.

Quote:

We know Ardmore is a lot better than what they were last year. They’re bigger, and it’s going to be a challenge. But we’re pumped for it.” – senior Quincy Johnson

Ardmore
Why the Tigers can win
: Because Ardmore made me look extremely stupid with a 28-7 whipping of rival Ada. Coach Larry McBroom is finding his groove with this team and a 4-7 season looks like to be a thing of the past for this year’s group.

Key matchup: Carl Albert offense vs. Ardmore defense. I don’t have one question about the Titans defense, but the offense is going to need to wake up. The four lost fumbles really hurt against BTW, and the running attack needs to find some holes.

The pick: Carl Albert 16, Ardmore 13. Still going to be a struggle for the Titans offense against a good Ardmore defense, but CA is able to squeeze this one out.
