What a tough, tough choice this week in the Mid-Del sector. And honestly, it became a battle of three Eagles. Del City’s Chazten Gonzales, Greg Johnson and Marquis Walters are all deserving of being named the Mid-Del Player of the Week.

But Johnson and Walters couldn’t have done what they did without Gonzales. And Chazten added more than 100 yards on the ground, too, in accounting for more than 530 total yards and five touchdown passes.

That Eagles attack just couldn’t be stopped Thursday against Norman North. Gonzales looked so calm, so relaxed and so confident. He is so comfortable doing what he’s doing right now, it’s ridiculous.

Del City finally gets to play on its new turf with undefeated Norman coming to town.
